AFAIK that depends really: Sure, those who are not really part of the “cult” will likely drop out, but the “ever faithful” will double down, because they will consider such hardship to be a test of their faith.
At this point I think that it is safe to say that at minimum about 20% of the population is lost. Someone who thinks that invading Greenland and that these tariffs are good is not going to be reasoned out of their position.
