It won’t depend. I think it’s because back in the day we never had an easy way to force boot a device, if a device wasn’t flagged as bootable it wouldn’t boot

Don’t you need to mark usb disks as bootable if you want to boot from them to install Linux or whatever

Can always use dd but I always go stupid when I need to set boot flags and all that crap, which is so much easier with etcher. I think I’ve done dd with gparted in the past.

Sort of agree still. Steam deck is a great example. They built it to be user serviceable, and you can literally switch to the Linux desktop and use root, and reinstall your OS if you want. It’s not locked down crazy like other systems. Remember the PS3 other os? Didn’t even get graphics drivers, then they ultimately removed it when it was used to jailbreak it.

I already self host and have some of those services, and do always on vpn. I just haven’t found a reliable method to rip my Spotify playlists since the API went down. I used to just cron job it, so my plex was in sync and use plexamp on my phone.

I don’t know what all of these are but surely it can’t be at search some song and tap and listen?
