It’s so weird how the character went from being an ad campaign to beloved tv and movie character.

It would be like the guy who smashed appliances saying “prices? smashed! Our competitors?! SMASHED!!!” Having a solo acting career.

Which leads me to cinematic perfection. The Advengers. A group of TV ad characters joining forces to save the world from an unstoppable force. A fed up Maytag repair man.

Don’t forget other such lovable characters as Local Town Attorney, Late Night blade master and their dauntless leader cable access QVC knockoff host.

One thing to consider. When the stocks that are part of a mutual fund drop… then your retirement contributions will be buying them on sale.

Assuming the mutual funds are spread out to minimize risk (1 of the funds companies folds, etc) overall you’ll be better off long term.

As you age you’ll start moving your investments to more stable options (talk to a financial adviser on the specifics for your plans). This way they that won’t benefit from huge gains but also are a lot less likely to be wiped out by massive drops.

In the meantime look at how your funds are doing over time. Not even year to year but maybe every 2 or 3 years.

I remember there was an Easter egg but I can’t recall if it was related to no disc and then loading an audio cd or something else. You’d have a small space ship flying around and towards and away from the screen almost like a screensaver.
