  • Sounds like a lot of this stems from you putting too much pressure on yourself to find something to do. I didn’t land on what my car was going to be until I went to uni at 21 and realised that I was enjoying the classes. I took a gamble on the course I picked and it worked out.

Sounds like you just need to go on a bit of a discovery journey and just try a load of different things. But don’t sweat it, don’t pressure yourself into trying to get into each one you try. Just try and go with the flow as much as possible and if something doesn’t click, start looking around for the next thing that might catch your eye.

I know it’s easier said than done, but I really do feel like a lot of this stems from the expectations you’ve given yourself (or that others have put onto you). You just need to chill, calm down and relax. It’s not going to be the end of the world if you can’t find something immediately. There’s always another entrance in if you just keep walking around. You’ll find the one you fit into eventually.

  • PSP had proprietary memory cards too. They were literally just trying to make a PSP2 with the vita.

The memory card issue did suck but as someone who only had a 16GB card it was blown way out of proportion. I never needed to have every game ever installed on my device at once. Would’ve been nice, but it never got in the way not being able to do so.

Nowadays you can get an SD to Gamecard adapter and with some homebrew installed use that for storage which is pretty cool. You can also replace the 3G card with an adapter too, but less people do that since it requires opening up the vita.

  • A umd drive in a vita would’ve been ridiculous.

Any digital purchases made on the psp store were honoured on the vita and you didn’t face to but them again.

Even so, nowadays it’s just straight up the better option with adrenaline being able to play every PSP game natively, not emulated. The vitas resolution is also a straight 2x scale so the scaling is perfect and allows for an LCD grid shader if you want it to look even more like a PSP.

I tried playing my PSP again a few days ago but that display has deteriorated soooo much. The constant motion blur like qualities is insane. It was already bad when new but it’s almost unplayable now and you’d be hard pressed to find a PSP anywhere near what it looked like on release now I imagine.
