Also, it’s really hard to cook for one. I end up spending as much on food that goes bad before I can eat it as it would have cost me to get a $5 value meal.

There is literally a road running right up the middle called State Line Road, lol. In the right place you could probably drive in both states at the same time.
Yeah it doesn’t matter. I just say I live in the KC Metro so I don’t have to explain this. And when I’m talking to my family back home, it’s just Kansas City. Technically I don’t live in KC, but they don’t care.
I imagine it’s like being from NYC. If you’re from there you tell someone what borough but to everyone else it’s just NYC
Another also, I absolute hate that the video game industry is jumping on this trend. Sometimes it’s nice to play games I missed out on as a kid but it’s getting so bad now, they remaster games from a couple years ago. Enough is enough.
Y2K. It was better than I expected!
Also, I remember walking out of Everything Everywhere All At Once and being angry because it probably wouldn’t do well in theaters or win any awards, despite being one of the best original movies I had ever seen.
I was happy to be wrong on that one.
I live in a state that legalized not too long ago, and I barely smell it. Almost never in public places. Sometimes, my older neighbor smokes in his garage but it’s not that strong. If it was, it still wouldn’t bother me.
I’m not saying it was right, but Hunter did get it rough solely because of who his dad was.
I’m not saying he didn’t deserve it, only that it wouldn’t have happened otherwise.
I don’t know that this is worth making a fuss over.
I think it depends where you live. In my city, it’s Indeed. LinkedIn only gives me scammy results. But I know ziprecruiter is better in the west coast so I’m sure LinkedIn works for some people too.
I have #5! Those boomers are going to have to fight me for it.
If devs thought the crunch was bad before….
What was your experience finding out you had narcolepsy. Does your narcolepsy come in cataplexy flavor? I’m sorry that you’re dealing with that. It’s not fun.
I’m basically mainlining caffeine too though I don’t think it really helps, lol. I can sleep 6-20 hours and still be ready for a nap. I fell asleep driving once. The only time I ever feel normal is when I take Adderall.
My doctor referred me to a neurologist but I can’t get an appointment until next summer.
Not saying I have narcolepsy but I worry that I have some kind of untreated sleep disorder. I know someone who was diagnosed with narcolepsy but he also suffers from cataplexy.
I was just talking to someone who wants to replace their fence. Planks are expensive right now so he is as saying he would do it this way haha
Would you like to round up your payment so we can collect millions of dollars from our customers and make that donation in our name?
I spoke to some hiring managers who said that they don’t read cover letters unless they find an interesting resume. Regardless of the tools that are used, it’s just too time consuming to read each letter.
I always thought of a cover letter for clarifying something on your resume. Ex: you’re changing careers or industries and out want to clarify why your experience is relevant. So, I don’t do them for every application but in certain situations.
I’m in my mid 30s and I know a lot of people my age who are like that too. They just aren’t curious about how things function. That’s okay, though. They have other talents that I don’t have.
This made me actually laugh out loud. I’m calling gen z that from now on
I personally don’t, but it’s a sentiment I hear around me from time to time in the workplace or on TV.
I get hyper focused on whatever I’m doing and stop thinking about my needs like eating or using the restroom. At least, until I really have to go or I feel sick from not eating.
Honestly, working from home is so much better for me because every so often, my dogs want my attention to eat or go outside. I get up to take care of them and that’s when I realize that I need to take care of myself too.
