I certainly remember when lenovo pushed a keyboard firmware update so bad that it physically damaged a part on thousands of legion laptops and then refused to own up to it. Fuckers. Never again.

*ok I half remembered, I don’t actually know that a part was physically damaged but the only permanent fix involves soldering so close enough

  • Is he praising Russia though? Seems like he’s praising trump for arranging the negotiations.

There’s so much real shit to talk about I don’t understand the obsession with deliberately misinterpreting stuff to make up fake things to get mad at.

The subtext is he’s calling Biden incompetent by praising trump’s competence. As compared to what, implying trump is incompetent in comparison to Russia? Why would he do that?

If it was intentional I don’t think he would choose this venue. Trump has gotta be so pissed at him for stealing the media spotlight and making him look bad.

Fundamentally I don’t think he thinks of himself as a neo-nazi whether or not he functionally is one. And I don’t think he’s bold enough for a dog whistle this blatant even if he does.

He did put on a weird stank face when he did it. He thought he was doing something but I don’t think he was aiming for nazi salute. He’s happy to trigger the libs over it but I think in the moment it was somewhere between the weird jump he did on stage and the ketamine putting enough holes in his brain that he thought this was a normal ‘my heart goes out to you all’ gesture.

Idk, sometimes it can be great. I worked on wind turbines for a while and one of my favorite memories is when I had the privilege of watching a beautiful sunrise from the top of a turbine. The day to day of working with a small team to kick ass at something that long-term helped provide power to thousands of homes was very fulfilling. I’d go back in a heartbeat if they built wind turbines in localities that don’t suck (technically they do but good luck getting one of those site positions in Hawaii or the other small desirable wind farms).

I don’t think any hobby can approximate the fulfillment that comes with doing something materially significant for society.
