Glancing through zettlr’s website and docs, Im not sure I understand it. Is it just notetaking software, that utilizes pandoc to build professional documents (via pdflatex)? Whats an example use case?

How was jumping from windows to NixOS?
It might take a screenshot and keep in memory, and only save to disk after some image processing that detects if there is sensitive data.
Start using datum for singular…which is even weirder than datas imo.
For best privacy, get a monitor and a tv box (like nvidia shield, or roll your own software a single board computer like a raspberry pi). That might be the only way to trust a tv: dont use it at all.
Where’s the tailscale fork? Thats my current battery sink
I used an ai painting pkugin before…never considered others! I’ll take a look.
I love use tools like mermaid or plantuml. But Ive always faught with formatting (or gave up) instead of editing after the fact. Great idea?
In the same vein, I use draw.io to make architecture diagrams and flow charts.
I forgot about Asesprite! Thats a great tool.
Aseprite was originally licensed under GPL but later made propretary. The fork of the last GPL version is called Libresprite but it doesnt have much activity, I dont think.
I’ve been meaning to get into some image generation type things too. The best self hosted tool I know of is InvokeAI. I’m sure there could be a whole other post (or other community) about image generation tools.
I use todo lists for groceries. So getting things setup on nextcloud and then mobile devices with any caldav compatible app is pretty easy. We have a couple shared lists.
You can use tasks.org for android and reminders for iOS.
Thats a great idea. Theres lots of Foss cad tools, and Im sure they have plenty of flexibility even when contrained to 2d.
Cashing checks and zelle are the big ones
I’ve used this extension for krita, which lets you select part of the image and have an AI draw in your selection based on a prompt. It can work for outpainting, and inpainting, like removing a feature from an image (or adding one). You may have to do some prompt engineering to get the right outcome: https://github.com/Acly/krita-ai-diffusion?tab=readme-ov-file
Upscayl is for specifically AI upscaling: https://upscayl.org/download Its a handy tool to have nearby depending on the type of image work you’re doing.
Mull browser != mullvad browser, for those who were curious like I was. Mull Browser Source
I might be naive, but given how often its being done I have to imagine that of all the project initiatives at Proton, adding LLMs is a relatively easy integration, when you compare it do developing a native application. Im sure theres been work at proton for a long time on those features, its just that the LLM team did this project quickly.
This cleared up some of the confusion about nostr to me: https://usenostr.org/
I use my exist credit card company, now. I still get my x% cash back. And the credit card company arent the people Im trying to hide from in this case. Thanks for letting me know.
