I’m going back to work tonight after a few days off. There better not be Christmas music playing. I work in retail, though. I think I’m screwed.

An above post, which has since been deleted by the author, said something about drunk driving. I had that in mind when replying. Drunk driving seems like alcohol abuse to me, but merely being drunk at a house party does not.

I choose to imagine that she’s not that kind of person anymore, nobody was hurt, and now takes alcohol abuse seriously. Her close friends are giving her some good-natured shit about what an idiot she used to be.

Depending on what she was arrested for, this could be a fucking hilarious gift.

Why is Russia even trying to make such a blatantly false denial? What’s their motive for telling such a ridiculous lie?

I’m all for the average retiree spending freely and enjoying what they earned. They spent a lifetime working; it’s their money. Inheritance issues create way too many family disputes.

It’s beginning to hit them: no matter how well they do, the planet is fucked, and nobody with the power to change things seems to care. Their choices are either “midlife crisis” or “live in denial”.

I want to tell myself that this is a work in progress, but I suspect it’s the completed job.

No, I’m not going to assume that every “overdramatic” or “unreliable” person is disabled. Maybe they’re just obnoxious, selfish, or lazy. I’m going to hold them accountable for their behavior.

The chain of idiocy here is truly awe inspiring. Someone came up with this ridiculous idea. They unashamedly made a business proposal. They were taken seriously. They got investors. They somehow got licensing/legal approval, which is my “favorite” part. One of their advertising angles is SAFETY. Now, they intend to expand.
