Off the news, out of facebook and reduced Politics subs by half
No, what you stated is why red voted red. This race wasn’t lost because red voted red. This race was lost because blue didn’t vote. The numbers are very clear it’s a little more red than there was last time but there was a lot less blue
not exactly shocking, not the first time Trump has made tariffs. Last time they drove the cost of house construction up.
Imagine being nostalgic for this… That’s scary AF
Gloves and respirator, hand wash all of the dishes one at a time, put them on the counter. Feel the sink full of hot water add bleach to proper disinfectant levels plus a little bit for sanity. Soak the dishes in the bleach water for 30 minutes. Hand rinse, hand dry, put them away.
Fresh sink of sanitizer
Take the baskets and filters out of the dishwasher, hose them off outside. Put any parts small enough to fit in the sink into the sanitizer. Disassemble the steam vent in the front spray it down with something bleach-based, If any parts can be safely removed and don’t have metal put them in the sanitizer too.
Use 409 or something bleach-based to spray out the inside of the tub and scrub it down with paper towels.
Put the baskets, filters and vents back in. Add a cup of vinegar and run a heavy duty cycle.
Have to make sure you don’t let bleach sit in the tub for too long it’ll destroy the seals and it can be rough on the circulation pump.
Not my first biohazard, probably not my last either.
that includes a large 285MB ZIP archive to install a Linux VM with a pre-installed backdoor.
When I just use one of the older distros that fits on a floppy?
Absolutely a scam. There’s about 10 common ways to bleed money out of somebody at that point. Maybe You’re paying for a background check or certification. Maybe they send you a check that’s too big, and you need to send them back some cash, only to find out that the check itself got reversed in your account after you mail off the money.
I totally agree, and I did try. It was just some kind of soul reposting things from Reddit and me.
Well, the sub in question had one person copying the articles from Reddit and me commenting on them. That was decidedly too few :)
Philosophically, I think you need enough engagement that there’s chat at least a few times a week in the group. Anything less than that and it’s closer to a search engine result than a community.
The problem isn’t that they won’t create them, there’s insufficient biomass to populate them.
If I want to talk about a 5-year-old video game with myself, I’ll just open Notepad.
Taskkill /f is reasonably close to sudo kill -9
Hitting the X in Windows and hitting the X in Linux both cause the application to start a save yourself routine. From the OS standpoint they’re not far off.
The problem is we have a lot of confirmation bias in windows because every time we want to close an application that’s not working, that save yourself call has to sit around for a hellaciously long time out followed by a telemetry call so that Microsoft can track that it happened.
It’s pretty rare that Linux apps don’t just close.
I appreciate your taste, But the raw danger of driving a mirror around just wins it for me.
Nah, no option here, mirror buff or go home. It’s the only sufficiently obnoxious choice for that car.
Matrix did it!
More like Google harvests your __________ to sell more targeted ads.
Here’s the scope of it
A National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) advisory on the bug describes it as “an issue [that] was discovered in the m2m scaler driver in Samsung Mobile Processor and Wearable Processor Exynos 9820, 9825, 980, 990, 850, and W920.” A use-after-free bug in the mobile processor ultimately leads to privilege escalation, the agency added.
Yeah I have open requests for speech to text to give me an easy way to turn on/off censoring. Unfortunately, until somebody does that it’s better to censor in places that I don’t need to censor then to not censor in places that need it.
I will try to unblock ads on a new site one time. I want to see the whole article on one page, No click-through gallery of 27 different takes. There can be ads in the borders and margins. And maybe if I’m feeling generous one in the middle of the content. I don’t want to see an unrelated pop-up video I don’t want to see every paragraph separated by another ad.
If they can’t play nice I block the ads, If I can’t, by default, see the content without the ads, I’ll find the article on another service. Everyone’s literally just copying the same content back and forth with different wording.
If I can’t see the content, and I can’t find it on another service, I’ll generally use bypass paywalls clean. If I can’t see it through that I don’t see it.
I’m not giving in for this b******* ads all over the place scenario. You can’t even read a recipe page nowadays without an ad blocker.
PShaw, that’s how I had to do it. Slackware on floppy. Pre-internet search engine, one computer per household. No cellular data.
windows -> Dial up -> look at some docs, take nodes -> reboot into Slackware -> mess with the console -> get stuck -> reboot into windows -> repeat
