  • Monero is built as a privacy first crypto. Essentially it’s like cash in many ways. You spend it in the shop and nobody knows where the cash you’re handing over came from. When you get your change at the till you know nothing about who had the cash before you that you just got handed. It’s just money.

This is all handled by a bunch of very complex cryptography. If it comes to it there are ways to prove you sent the money etc but only you have that capability to decide to share.

  • True enough but I feel like English has more quirks than other languages though I acknowledge that may be bias.

I used to have near fluent Irish way back when and I don’t recall any shenanigans like this (again I acknowledge I may not have been presented with them). I feel like most other languages have a more clearly defined set of pronunciation rules too.

Irish looks horrific (Siobhán is shiv-awn for example) but very very closely follows pronunciation rules so that pronunciation would be no surprise to a native reading it for the first time. English sure as fuck does not follow rules like that.

    Near. Neat. Book. Boot. Etc.

(Some small subset of Irish folks do say “boo-k” though)

Perhaps. Regardless it’s outlandish abuse of the tongue IMO and definitely would benefit from the comma because nobody’s going to just bang out 4 had’s in a row in speech without a pause without a justifiable slap across the chops and possibly a challenge to a duel.

“But your honour, he said ‘had’ four times on the trot without pause”

    “Case dismissed”

  • No we recycled them and recycle rates were really high. They just went in the green wheelie bin and were picked up every week or two.

I would be fine with the deposit scheme but the plastic bottles and aluminium cans all need to be in perfect condition / no squashing them down so they quickly start taking up a lot of space in our (busy) house then need a trip to the store followed by putting them in a scanning machine one by one where before we could just squish them and pop them in the green bin.

I’m not doing any more recycling but now I have a lot more effort unfortunately.

Also no glass in the scheme.

I’m honestly not a fan as someone who was recycling everything already.

  • You probably have plenty of protein in your diet. Requirements aren’t that high for it. They’re not a complete protein either but easily become one when paired with stuff most of us eat anyway.

They’re pretty decent for b vitamins and things like copper (which is used for iron absorption).

Long story short you probably just like PB. I mean it’s nice stuff but easy to get sick of.
