I use Graphene. I like the Auditor app and the ability to verify that the ROM is unaltered because you can never trust an orphan kernel like all mobile devices. If I ever give up possession of my device, I can verify if it was altered. I also have a way to wipe the device on locked login with no indication that the ROM is being wiped as provided by Graphene.

Anyone have shortcuts for modeling complex over center, compliance mechanisms, and bistable auxetic materials? I’m using FreeCAD and trying to just use rough sketches and trial and error to create a bending tube structure that 3d prints vertically but then bends into place like a pop-tube kid’s toy, but only on one side of an otherwise vase mode print design. I’m really pushing the limits of what FreeCAD can loft before edges go wonky and the Part Design workflow is no longer sufficient. I can make a compliant spring easily, but a bistable bend in a tube is at the edge of my learning curve.

Emergency services can triangulate location regardless of device and ROM using only the active modem. I’m sure gov can do the same.

I’ve been in situations on a bike where I have no clue where the closest cross streets are and they could pinpoint my location when I called from a dedicated bike trail. This despite running a custom ROM that is minimal, prepaid, running proxy, etc.

There is a faint pattern of tracks leaving. Ground temperature is too high to support ice but air temp is sufficiently cold if ice is suspended by thickness or a layer formed when snow fell faster than the melting rate. Snow is falling at too slow of a rate to accumulate and overcome the wet ground. The vehicle tires did not fully melt the snow like the person’s shoes, which is the largest anomaly… I think

Never have used proprietary AI and will never post anything generated without telling you so. I do not care or have anything to gain. I’m simply here for social human connections that are more than just AI because I’m physically disabled and in social isolation as a result. Sorry I offend with a reasoned opinion.

Models fundamentally turn all of human language into a statistical math problem with a solution. The English teachers lost this war to the Math teachers. You can skip English if you can learn to read tensors and understand rank dimensions beyond our four dimensional Cartesian existence of XYZT. It is only a matter of time until the correct training data is applied. In this space, I’m skeptical of every piece of news information, especially when they imply a limited scope of the technology in private use.

Any statement of an instance of AI output must include a ton of contextual and mundane details. I can make a model say anything, but I can also set up a prompt that will access sources that are typically hidden and get far deeper into information that no one would believe is there. Information that can be corroborated and factual without leading or deception. If I can do that while using the Transformers library that self declares as nothing more than an incomplete example implementation, and yet is the basis of all publicly available LLM tools, the potential for the technology is much higher for the labs that are training these models and have versions without the OpenAI alignment bias black box.

I haven’t seen the specifics in this instance. I saw someone posting partial private messages in screen shots months ago without full context and making drama. I have not seen inexcusable behavior from .ml or a reason I feel motivated to stop posting there.
