Remember to vote in all local elections. The more sensible people you get into office the more change you create. Look up all the candidates, even for things like education, water treatment, family court judges.

These are all offices that we vote (or not) into office.

When I went to look at who to vote for in the shitty midwest state I am from, (I am an expat. ) sometimes the choice wasn’t clear. Some had no party affiliation, but those who seek positions of power often move on to other positions of power. Starting at the bottom we must vote in good people.

So I looked up their campaign websites or facebook pages, and made my choice from there. Do I want the girl with little background in the subject who has republican affiliations supporting her campaign for the office?

Or maybe the guy who runs free name change clinics for people who need it and works at the local food bank.

The choice was clear to me.

I am sorry fellow Americans. This was an outcome I had greatly feared.

    Don’t give up.

  • Yeeah, I watched the first little bit of it, and it’s a rather disjointed collection as well.

Got a guy describing the working conditions in the usa. That seems on point, then a girl ranting about how her guests came over and ate half a fruit (left the other half of the plum uneaten) and drank only one sip of a water bottle, and how wasteful they were and how it got on her nerves. Then makes a show of finishing their “disgusting” half eaten plum and gross sipped on water bottle.

That’s not a boring dystopia, it’s a lady mad at wasteful guests. I suppose it could be tangentially related to a wasteful society contributing to the dystopia, but her example of guests in her home not finishing every bite of food and drink they were offered is just weird. Also, how are you going to go on a massive rant about wasteful guests while providing them single use water bottles.

  • People have commented that it’s crazy that I have completely disabled all updates on my win10 machine. This sort of thing is why.

Edit: I haven’t had a virus or malware since… I was a teenager. It seems like if you use an adblocker, don’t click links from unknown sources, and are aware of your network activity, you are pretty safe. The writing is on the wall, I am aware that I will need to switch to Linux soon, but I am also aware that Linux has compatibility issues with my particular machine and doesn’t work with certain activities I like to do. I am hoping these issues will be mostly sorted by the time I make the leap.
