This experience but in my case, I got a significantly lower grade despite the fact that I worked on the paper longer. It was a great shock to me, I never got that low of a grade when I did those papers at the absolutely last minute.

For games specifically, I have to binge or I’ll never go back to it and next time I wanna play, I have to start over. Books or TV shows etc. don’t have the same problem as they are more passive consumption than a game.
To me, the most useful trick was to set my wristwatch 5 mins ahead of the local time. These days, I only use my phone as a watch but the same principle applies. Catching up bus times was my biggest problem, especially when I needed to use more than one bus line.
You’d think it wouldn’t work since I know I technically have 5 more minutes but reading the time as 07:00 instead of 06:55 was pretty effective for me.
Never works for me. Sometimes a task just gets less boring and Pomodoro interrupts that. If I super simplify what works for me, I prefer scheduling a task I like after the one I’m struggling to do because I find it boring or stressful. So I keep myself motivated by reminding myself, the next one is fun, I just need to get over the boring one.
