A lot of these I remember learning from teachers rather than my parents. Also reinforced by other kids, assorted relatives, etc. Even good parents can’t protect you from the rest of society.

Dude needed to get his wildlife handler paperwork or shut the fuck up. He claimed he was getting it repeatedly and there’s evidence he did fuck all.
He got his animals killed by failing to adhere to the basic laws he already knew about. It wasn’t a surprise.
That’s what the “Personal Communication” citation type is for.
I was taking control of a big department in a non-profit where funds were tight but I had a lot of flexibility so I read a book about how to reward employees instead of money. I was hoping for non-tangible rewards like first pick of schedule or Employee of the Month type stuff.
Every single suggestion in the book was something that needed money to be spent first but not given to the employee. It had a whole chapter about how giving cash was rude and terrible and your employees would hate you for it so you had to give gift cards or worthless garbage to give them instead.
This was nonsense advice. Nothing motivates like cash. In the end I just taped my own $20 bills to the back of the ‘Certificates of Achievement’ I have for good work and warned them it was a personal gift and not from the org.

That’s a waiting room, not a day care.
Is there a Browser where I don’t have to turn off these type of sponsored links? I’ve done it in Chrome, Firefox and Opera at minimum.

Chat with Satan, argue with Botox Matt, kick Mitch McConnell’s seat all flight.
Use Coursera to take a Certification in an area that interests you like IT or bookkeeping. I found it dead easy and the courses were broken down into really small units that I could finish a few a day.
As a child in the US I was taught “The Principal is you ‘pal’.” which is not true but helpful when spelling it. Like “dessert” has more ‘s’ than “desert” because it’s something you want more of.
First, that avocado is under-ripe. They are hard until they are ready to eat and then they get buttery soft, like bananas.
Second, only the green flesh tastes good, the outer skin is leathery and gross and the pit is hard and not edible, so like a mango, you gotta skim and pit it.
And third, avocado really isn’t something you eat by itself. It’s kinda like vegetable mayonnaise, fatty but without a ton of its own flavor so it’s almost always part of a dish with some lemon or lime juice or other acid or something salty like soy sauce.
Nonsense, posting on that toilet without styrups would be damn near impossible.
Missed 2 days of my anxiety meds this weekend, which caused me to panic and try to go to the pharmacy too early on Saturday to pick them up and forget to take my morning ADHD meds.
I was a complete freaking out mess all day Saturday and half of Sunday. I’d forgotten how bad the two are when stacked up like that. And I used to feel that way around 1/3 of the time, I estimated 1-2 days a week I had some sort of panic attack before treatment.
Take your meds, my friends. They are important!
Told my teacher I preferred “the movies in my head” and earned myself a EEG to check for epilepsy as a 10 year old. No always explain my vivid imagination.
For reference, they still sell these too: Full Sheets
I’ve been on Straterra for about 18 months.
You do need to take it every day because the drug builds up in your system over about 3 weeks to the correct levels. It adjusts how much of your norepinephrine gets reused and so it takes some time to take full effect. I also was in the habit of only taking stims on work days and this will not work for that, it needs some time.
The biggest side effect I or anyone I know has had is some lightheadedness right before my next dose. I ended up getting split doses 12 hours apart but you can also bump the dose up to avoid this, I’ve been told.
Compared to stimulants, I prefer the steadyness of Straterra. I don’t wake up in a panic state every morning, I think thought a problem first before a knee-jerk reaction sets in, and I can focus on my work without being constantly side-tracked, and I still feel like “myself” and can engage in my creative work day after day in a sustainable way.
Best of luck to you!
Always free, not shitty. Been great for and simple for 5 years now.
