19 days agoYeah, I guess the assumption it takes is that there aren’t larger topographic changes for the other legs between their points, and that the legs are equal length. But I like it, it’s a fun one I’m trying next time

Kauai Coffee is a relatively large operation that exports to the continental US and is more like $9 retail (and perpetually on sale for $7.50 or so) for a 10oz bag in the grocery store.
It’s not cheap coffee, but it’s certainly not top of the line priced coffee.
They do make some coffees that are more than $25/lb, but not the "regular* stuff people would buy in a store.
Of course I agree that their price will go up with the market with tariffs introduced, and that in general the tariffs are a terrible, terrible idea.

4·2 months agoTotally agree, and get that. I wouldn’t want medication necessarily either. You don’t have to medicate at all! In fact maybe just knowing and working with it would be a good first test.
I hope she does. I don’t think I’m ADHD but my partner was just diagnosed a few months ago. Now that we think about it it’s not a surprise at all lol

We should switch to renewables as quickly and completely as we can, but it wouldn’t eliminate 100% of oil use

Dude, same. The worst part of my recent should surgery was the lack of caffeine all day (bumped from noon to 4 pm surgery). That first sip of recovery room coffee was incredible
I totally get that, I have a few suggestions since I’ve been in the same situation for years and have recently improved it.
Our Yamaha stereo takes many HDMI inputs, and has a single TV output, so the TV never needs to change inputs. It’s quite easy and quick on the Yamaha.
I bought a Raspberry Pi 500 for ~$100 US and am loving it. I think it could use a speed upgrade (I hear the SD card will do it). Of course it’s mouse and keyboard, but we only use it for Netflix, YouTube, etc, so it was easy to make shortcuts and get a small/nice living room keyboard/mouse combo.
It’s led to zero ads, and the household discussion was like “would you trade some ease of use to not see this stupid ad?” And we both agreed that it’s worth it. So far it’s been really nice.
