Looks like I had one of my comments, querying the mods, deleted too. That’s pretty sucky tbh and doesn’t encourage me for the future of Lemmy as a free speech platform. Apparently calling out a deleted comment is being uncivil… Edit: LOL it was my comment preceding yours… The generic message from the mods doesn’t actually tell you which message got deleted.

The Signal group imbeciles were pretty chuffed about an ENTIRE apartment building being collapsed on their single person target. Collateral damage from a bursting balloon seems trivial, by comparison…

You buy most acids, commercially, in plastic bottles… Those bottles would probably split nicely if dropped from a great enough height. Thus, you get impact damage, and the acid would enhance any damage done. Although, now I’m thinking about it, glass bottles would shatter better…Nitric acid, anyone?

Hey, I just rented my property for exactly what the council rates and body corporate expenses are. A $160 pw home. Not even a mark up to cover repairs etc, because capital gain will more than cover that. I did it because I hate what is happening in housing currently, especially for young buyers. Now my new tenant wants to delay moving in for 3 weeks, and not pay any rent during that time. /sigh…what scum I am…

I retired during Covid, but until then I drove mercedes. When I needed a new car, the new Merc dealer wouldn’t even let me onto the lot, telling me he couldn’t get a car for me for 12 months. Turned out, the only new car I could get immediately, was a Kia Sportage, and that was only because someone failed a finance application. That car was actually awesome, never a single problem, but I decided I didn’t like all the screens because always fingerprints, so I sold that and bought a Hyundai because I had already gone through the tech learning curve (Kia and Hyundai are the same). That too, has been trouble free all the time I’ve had it, and I’m about to trade to another Hyundai. Converesely, here in Australia, I hear about Honda’s being crap. I think Korean cars, actually made in Korea, are actually great cars. You Americans mostly get models made locally, which to me sounds like the problem. What you are saying, is American made is shitty.
