South America and Central America have already had their day of being deeply fucked by USA military, CIA, and policies, long ago. Don’t know if that’ll come back again, but likely not.
They didn’t ignore this reality. They tried to move to the right, and woo right wing voters, trotting out Liz Cheney, acting and talking like Republicans. And it accomplished nothing: R’s voted with their party. It was a total failure.
Anger doesn’t reason.
Women compliment each other far more than men do. IIRC this has been researched. Men live in a compliment-deprived world, probably due to toxic masculinity. Women don’t, but the assumption that their compliments are all or mostly insincere, which this comic does, is kind of incely.
Thr whole comic seems like a man’s take, and probably not a very accurate one.
Because women are not nearly that bitchy to each other after like 7th grade.
What most of the commenters are missing is that the assumption that one has to know how to gamble in order to have a retirement is a broken and stupid USA thing. Nobody should be forced to learn these things in order to not end up on the street. OP clearly has no idea what they are doing-- and so many comments point this out with varying degrees of rudeness, smugness, and shitty attitude-- but the point should be that we are feeding naive investors like these to the lions and that is morally wrong and collectively shortsighted. We all suffer as a society because people like this are being required to make investment decisions and doing that really poorly.

I remember 10 years or so ago working with a guy who was trying to sell me on the wonders of Eclipse. “It writes all this boilerplate for you!” I was more interested in writing in languages that were less shit and required less boilerplate.
