I don’t think it’s about enjoying the content. I don’t filter it because I like having a firm grasp on what is happening politically in the world. As annoying, frustrating, and anxiety inducing as it is, Trump and Musk are two figures that are currently doing everything they can to fuck up our planet and governments so that they can make a few bucks. Yes there is a lot of musk and Trump content, but sticking your head in the sand and hoping it doesn’t effect you until it’s over is probably not the best way to handle it. I haven’t been on Reddit in years, but I recall it being the same situation there during Trump’s first term, there was just a little more non-political content to help dilute it due to the larger user-base.

There have been gender neutral bathrooms in multiple US states for years now. Find me one single example of what you’re describing occurring. This fear you have is founded in nothing but ignorance, xenophobia, and stupidity. It’s literally the point of this post. If it’s a matter of wasted resources, I guess I see your point, but it’s a bit of a reach. I don’t know if it’s as big of a waste as you’re claiming when we have corporations trying to implant customers with brain chips like neuralink, I mean who knows where that technology could go if it ever gets off the ground. Personally I think the Justice system attempting to have a bit of foresight is a good thing.

Also, isn’t banning cameras like a mind-blowingly bad idea? That would mean people couldn’t do things like record police committing crimes, hell you wouldn’t even be able to install a dash cam on your car.

My guess why this comic is confusing people here is simply due to the fact that the Lemmy community is primarily made up of middle aged straight men, many of whom have probably dealt with bitter divorce and find the base concept of this comic impossible to relate to.
