While their goonies work to outlaw abortion and birth control and divorce. What a neat combo pack.

Me neither. Part of that came from watching him for a while.
Reason.com is a publication that’s been around for years, decidedly libertarian lean. No idea what that means for it in current political context. I used to see people from Reason on Bill Maher’s show as non-Republican conservative-ish voices.

Yeah, a lot has been said about why the ‘Democrats’ failed; sure they were/are imperfect.
Where are the articles bemoaning our stupid and/or mean citizens who have no curiosity and think being obstinate will work like a time machine? I’m frustrated to hell with apathy of my countrymen.
We went to one of the several trunk or treats in our town. I chose one of the less busy ones so my kid could understand what the massive downtown one would be like if she wanted to do that. We waited in line from trunk to trunk for a whole hour, got meh candy, got to get inside emergency vehicles (that was cool), got to see a lot of other people’s costumes (also really fun), but mostly it was waiting. Standing mostly still. And then the advertised time came for it to be over, even as people were still waiting in line, tables and cars all broke down and started leaving us in a sad, barren lot. We went trick or treating for the main event after all, and got excellent candy, saw all kinds of cool houses as we actively walked with a friend for as long as we wanted.
Designed by tokidoki 😑 what even is this timeline.
I’ve been wondering how far I could get making a pitch for religious freedom from advertising. Should possibly think about it as religious freedom from tracking in general.
And, federally, it’s still half that ($7.25). Cheers!
I am looking forward to whatever he comes out with in Space Balls 2 though. That’s going to be fun. And Rick Moranis will be back!
I mean, that didn’t stop kids from going to fight in Iraq.
Compared to the Texas one, I like the NM one better. ‘Salute’ is a little less cringe than ‘pledge allegiance to’, it cites a reference children/citizens can look up, and it encourages people to get along despite differences. That’s doing a lot more interesting stuff than ‘hey Texas, I’m loyal to you, there’s a god I guess, I agree you shouldn’t be further subdivided (as if there’s any states that have been divided smaller after statehood has been long established?), and yes, I promise to be really really loyal to you. You believe me yet?’
Another method: tax is often about 8%, so double that as a baseline and adjust from there.
Yeah, there’s a gulf of difference between wanting a problem to disappear vs relishing the incredibly detailed idea of pain and suffering of another human being. One’s like putting down a rabid dog, the other is just pain for pains sake.
Oh yeah? Well two can play at that game. I was absolutely melting down over the horrible “He gets us” commercials. So… There!
I’ve had a lot more fun with Bible stories since I started subbing in “teenage Jewish hoodlums who know how to get shit done” every time “an angel of the Lord* appeared. I mean, why would actual magical angels need blood painted on doors to know which houses to avoid? Hoodlums, however, can use a code like that. Or how about removing the tombstone and telling the Marys " why do you look for the living amongst the dead?” That’s a place for a bunch of enthusiastic, anti-empire teenagers if I ever saw one.
I’ve found periodically cleaning mine with rubbing alcohol and a qtip vastly improves charging, fit, and sound. Still thinking about upgrading sometime soon tho.
Ooh, remember the cordless landline phones? I’d always see how far from home I could walk before they’d cut out
