This reminds me of the Star Wars drinking game (back before Episode 1).
Every time a storm trooper misses a shot, you take one.

What makes you think he puts the cart away?
Still too optimistic. The people that clung to the previous status quo didn’t become enlightened. They stayed just as bigoted, but they died off over time.
This is perhaps too onion-y, but somebody has to drop it in the thread:
The Onion’s statement on the purchase
Granted, Biden did almost nothing to slow it down, and kept Israel well supplied with the weapons of genocide. Do you really think it’s a coincidence that Netanyahu waited until the day after the election to announce that Palestinians won’t be allowed to return to northern Gaza though?
Granted, that was almost certainly the plan all along, but now even the fig leaf is gone. Without the need to devote any thought at all to political cover, Israel will stop even pretending to internal investigations of accusations against their own soldiers and redeploy those resources to the battlefield.
The number of Palestinian deaths may not be different, but they’ll die even sooner.
That makes sense.
And how is it nobody seems to have noticed the two jawbones mounted above?
Probably Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Not completely ignoring - I assume that was the swipe about “only engages in genocide reluctantly” was about.
Myself, I agree with you that we haven’t seen much sign of that reluctance.
Once it’s extracted, someone’s going to get that lithium. After the coup Elon vocally supported failed, that someone won’t be him.
Notify the maintainer of the open source tool - they’re in the best position to push for compliance. They have the power to revoke the company’s license.
The fact that you already confiscated them. Since we’re talking hypotheticals though, you could confiscate those assets at the border. Or set up international treaties with a look-back provision.
Of course, that assumes lack of regulatory capture, a regulatory agency interested in effective enforcement, enough funding to do that enforcement, and effective protections for whistleblowing when employers threaten to fire employees who don’t report high enough tips even when they don’t receive them.
The US don’t have more than one of these (I don’t know the situation on regulatory capture, so I’m giving benefit of the doubt there).
That’s part of the joke. The first scene of Episode IV before Vader boards is a heavy shootout, so you basically just start the film and drink until you pass out.
