What annoys me about Amazon search is it doesn’t listen to my search, and it doesn’t allow qualifiers such as minus sign. Most other searches listen to minus sign as excluding that word from search.

Example: metal cup -plastic -mug -jug

I search for a metal cup, but I do not want plastic, and not a mug or jug.

On Apple we have Firefox focus, it’s a single tab browser with Adblock. Works for YouTube and other websites.

I left abusive family and live in my car in the middle of the desert. I’m happy as can be, I’m FREE! There’s usually a good side to the bad stuff, hope you have a wonderful holidays and find ways to cheer yourself up. Life can be amazing and sometimes the negatives are in our heads.

I have that book in storage, soon after septic is installed I plan to get my stuff here, need the tools to build.

We have been planning on a composting toilet in the house.

The septic will be used for the kitchen sink (it’s considered black water here) but everything else can be used for plants if we use safe soaps for the liquids and compost the solids long enough.

I have been planning to homestead for close to 20 years, and just jumped into the lifestyle 2 months ago.

My wife and I are living in a tiny SUV with our cat. We have a fridge, twin bed, warm blankets, plenty of food and water. We have an outhouse tent for our business. It has a $4 bucket with a $15 toilet lid. I added a container and a funnel in there for liquids, and we use bags for the solids. Works for us.

We have explored the state and went to some really cool places, until we found land we purchased.

As soon as the septic is installed we can legally live in an RV, we can start a compost pile, start a garden, get chickens, and try being as self sufficient as we can.

I also want to make and design my own off grid things, for example making a wood gasifier. Then in an emergency we can run gas things from wood (generator, truck, tractor, etc).

I plan to share my experience on YouTube once we have an RV, hoping I can help people to live a more sustainable life.

People on iPhone can use “Firefox Focus” it’s a browser with no tabs, just a single window with Adblock.

When I bought a book on Linux, I followed it chapter by chapter then when I got to chapter 6 or something none of it matched my OS and I was lost again. It was really bad for a modern book.

I did learn a lot from the book, but quite discouraged after getting lost there.

About a year or 2 later I went full time in Linux after the windows Recall and their One drive was stealing all my files when it was disabled. I saw the sync icons all over my desktop with the computer idle. Last straw and I switched to Linux for good.

My wife and I used to stream on twitch and we would stream 8 hours for 2 days a week.

We did VR for a few months, I setup half the living room with green screen and used LIV software and a camera to put us inside the games.

One of the times I was waving the controller and broke the ceiling light glass shade while live so that was exciting lol

I do think I read that some people just can’t handle VR. No idea why. Hopefully you take brakes often and don’t get too sick.

When I first started VR I would get sick, so I started to use it for 30 minutes at a time, then 1 hour, then more and more until I can handle 8 hours at a time (break at 4 hour mark). It just takes practice.

Back when I was on windows I would rename .webp to .jpg (or was it .png, it’s been a long time) and it would open. Now I’m on Linux and it just works.

It looks like you did not even save the file. Reminds me when I used my Commodore 64 and had to code in my entire program each boot (didn’t have a floppy drive or game carts)

Yea, but your “download” f**ing expires! So it’s useless when you go somewhere with no internet.

I usually see people mount it on a vice and use a string from a distance away, plus behind blast shields.
