A friend told us to get a Lux Box or w/e they’re called after a concert a few months ago, and it had A LOT of food for the low price. Like a burrito, chalupa, taco, cinnamon twists and a drink for $6 or $7, which sounds like a great deal right now. Idk if they still have it or if it was a limited promotion, but that’s what I’d get if I go there again (I don’t do fast food but very rarely). Other than that, the standard priced items are definitely expensive.
My local supermarket has sex toys on upper shelves in the family planning section, which is in the healthcare department. They don’t look like dongs, so people shouldn’t recognize what they are unless they know about them already. But kids might still ask their parents what that is on the shelf, and that is apparently worse than school shootings.
Which one? There’s two murderers in this.
It always has been.
Please do not confuse shitty people with evil people. I work with plenty of shitty people, but none of them cause pain, suffering, and death on a scale that these billionaire CEOs do.
Imagine a rural Italian village filled with American Trailer-Trash, yelling at each other and starting fights with each new day.
You’ve ruined this for me, while at the same time making it so much better.
That cloud kind of looks like a cute little mouse.
There’s an entire website dedicated to relating each passage in the bible about the antichrist to trump. I don’t remember what the site was, but a quick google search should get the result.
Yeah, there’s lots of places with rampant toxicity. I was just comparing reddit and lemmy, and I consider the Federated nature of lemmy to help prevent (not necessarily stop) toxicity from growing.
I’m not an expert on this whole Federated thing, but to me, it sounds like if one community is having problems with another, they can just disassociate and not have to deal with it anymore.
True, but Reddit had the right conditions for toxicity to grow and begin to run rampant. Lemmy, with its decentralized nature, should limit the spread of any toxic communities.
Animal Cruelty is basically every K9 Unit’s motto.
Congrats, you’ve won at ADHD.
Another reason why I’m glad I made the switch to Lemmy.
I worked at home depot, and our manager made people sign a form before having a Hi-Lo load a pallet of floor tile into their truck because it would cause their suspension to bottom out. They’d do it, and drive off with zero leeway on their shocks.
We had one guy come in bragging about how his super-expensive hydraulic suspension could handle it. We loaded 2 pallets of tile into his truck bed. I bet he felt every little crack in the road driving to the job site.
It looks like something you could lift up, like a sewer cover or something. Some madlad probably swapped them.
I’ve solved this problem by simply being scheduled 7 days a week for the rest of eternity.
The better solution people have been proposing (and one recently enacted) is promptly met with jail time. Everybody knows what it is but can’t say it without risking getting banned or arrested.
