Which is odd, since the constitution CLEARLY and DIRECTLY states that it takes an act of congress to put an insurrectionist onto the ballot. So requiring congress to take them off isn’t just unfounded, it’s in direct contradiction to what’s written.

Right, that’s why I said in the larger picture. Before Reagan, taxing the rich and a living minimum wage were standard. Now it’s considered radical. But we’ve definitely moved back to the left since then.

I mean taxing the rich and a livable minimum wage used to be acceptable. But due to the rightward slide, the tax rate from most of the 20th century and livable single income minimum wages would be considered radical now.

In the larger picture the rightward trend is kind of true on economic fronts.

But yeah, since the 90s we’ve slowly moved left.

If you look at the American political spectrum of non-Authoritarians, progressives are the ones pushing for change to fix everything, liberals want to make smaller more conservative changes. Both work together to help America debating on more drastic or more mild tweaks.

Republicans have policies to dominate the population and maximize profits for the rich. They don’t exist on the liberal-conservative spectrum as a party, except incidentally.

Liberals in America are basically conservatives that aren’t authoritarian and still care about America.

Get your head out of your ass. There’s a reason why Progressives keep getting frustrated. We’re literally the liberals reaching across the aisle and voting for conservatives. It’s not condemnation, it’s just reality.

And I’ll vote for a conservative who supports freedom over an authoritarian any day. If anything it’s admirable that that both the liberals and conservatives in the party work together as well as they do.

We are the freedom party. And the other party is authoritarian.

Conservatives are authoritarians.

We need to start calling liberals what they are. Conservatives.

And we need to start calling the conservatives what they are. Authoritarian elites.

I’ve reached across the aisle to vote for a conservative for 3 elections now against Trump. It would be nice if centrists and conservatives did the same.

If anything non-voter related is to blame, it’s the global economy which has shifted every single developed country away from the party in charge. But that doesn’t excuse the non-voters.
