My comment was directed at the comparison being made. I agree, private insurance isn’t a great way to move forward. Although, i don’t know that id say it’s the worst thing. It’s a single domino in a long line of shitty dominos.

This is the most naive thing I’ve read on the internet in quite a while.
Pretty much, my mom didn’t notice that I had adhd. But my little brother was a poor student, and ended up on several different medications for his adhd… meanwhile, my mom made fun of me for having like 5 water glasses scattered throughout the house all the time bcz I forgot I had a water glass, and where it was.
We’re talking about what happens to our parents stuff when they die. What are they going to do, burn down the house when they die? Oh wait, that’s exactly what they’re doing, climate change is a hoax to a large portion of boomers, housing costs have risen well past cost of living, university costs have ballooned to unsustainable levels saddling an entire generation of people with debt they can’t pay off, we have some of the most ineffective, expensive health care in the world, and oh, to top it off, we just elected a far right government that wants to wipe their ass with the constitution, and usher in the U.S. version of the third Reich. Some inheritance…
Thanks! I’ll take a look
Time to ditch youtube and find a FOSS alternative.
That’s true, Dr. Oz wasn’t even from Pennsylvania.
So he got a good PR team and lied about his politics. That should be grounds for dismissal from congress.
Paying a business to do everything is how we got mining towns that paid their workers in company money that can only be used at company stores.
Nobody chooses to get cancer. But everybody benefits from a society that lifts others up instead of kicks them when they’re down. If you don’t believe in helping other people then you’re just a sad individual.
Yeah, making statements online that aren’t explicitly intended at harm is just enforcing the thought police. That’s kind of scary.
Being Times person of the year means you have had a significant impact, not that you are necessarily a good person. It says nothing about doing good deeds.
Society has convinced us that we have to always be doing something and contributing to the economy in some way. There is nothing wrong with having fun and just living life.
Obviously not or they wouldn’t be trying so hard to spin the story.
Maybe we should stop using for profit healthcare. I bet you didn’t know that United had 22 billion dollars in profit in 2024… profiting off of sick people is what’s sick.
GenX what’s that, a new shoe coming out?
It’s true, I’m saving for retirement, but I sure as shit am not expecting it to exist when I get there.
How’s a security team going to stop someone from walking up and pulling a gun out and shooting? No security team in the world is going to stop that before it happens.
There’s a reason public figures such as the president don’t have their schedule published, and drive around with several identical vehicles withough people knowing which one they’re in, and then scour buildings before letting them go in, and restricting people from being allowed in while they’re there.
Heck, I’ve been kicked out of buildings while I do my job when an unannounced public figures such as the vice president shows up for a tour.
A not corrupt election…
Im not gonna throw shade at someone for denouncing genocide.
