Nobody will actually change anything for you, unless you work on it. All of you, all of us collectively. I’m calling you now, do something.
You can see some in this very thread
Maybe this will help me waste less time on YouTube.
The way it setup it will not mean the removal of the stupid safety theater, it will mean the closing of the airport.
Unfortunately it wouldn’t come to removal of said theater, it will leed to unpaid employees doing a bad job
Damn, if you call this constant, I’m scared to guess what do you mean by fluctuating https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Hourly-production-and-hourly-average-wind-speed-mast-and-MERRA-for-an-exemplary-month_fig1_276421124
Well, that could change of if we as a society decide to define you as some characteristic you posess.
I don’t know how much domestic agriculture changed in the last 30 years, but 30 years ago growing enough veggies for couple of winter months was a full-time everyday job for 2 people in our family, with another 4 having to help regularly. I don’t think there is enough free time for that right now
The convoluted one puts an emphasis on a person, not on a disability. I am aware of my disability always, I don’t need a special day for it. A day to recognize me might be nice however. That sort of logic.
You are so convinced about my motivations, I hust have to assume it’s a projection
I’m continuing apologising for premium exclusively because it pays creators more, and more consistently. I never go on the internet without all the adblocks possible, the sight of an add makes me irrationally angry. I’m still paying for premium
Hey, good for you, you voted. Most people didn’t.
They wanted Trump to win, or didn’t care who does. They are at fault. They had the ability to change the course of election and chose this way. Even trump supporters are less at fault, they’re in a cult, their brain fell off, they don’t have a choice.
Democratic party cares about opinions of people who vote for them, it’s that simple.
Those polls mean shit, if people who vaguely “want progressive policies” then turn back and either vote directly against them, or just don’t do anything. You can yapp whatever you want, want whatever you want, but if you don’t vote for it, or at least against polar opposite, you might as well put your head up your ass and express your opinions to the audience there.
People who saw Trump, and didn’t vote against him for a candidate that is obviously, demonstrably better on all the issues you can care about, didn’t do it because that candidate wasn’t better enough, they did what they did because they OK with Trump. As to who’s fault it is… I don’t know, human nature probably, lack of education, lead paint, huge number of factors.
Oh, politicians will do the changing all right. They will identify the people who vote and will cater more to them, moving further right. Many of them don’t want that actually, but since getting votes is the only way to be elected, and left doesn’t vote, they just have to.
People though? I don’t know, right now I’m disappointed in all the America, so I don’t believe change is possible. I however will continue yelling at idiots who don’t want right wing politicians but don’t vote therefore don’t express their wants. I will also continue doing public communication, maybe less yelly though.
And if they will spend the last minutes they had on primaries, first of all you wouldn’t participate in them anyway because you think they all rigged or whatever, and then you would not vote anyway because whoever won on primaries didn’t have enough time to campaign and you just feel like you don’t know enough about them to make a decision.
The levels of bullshit you have to come up with to avoid admitting you just collectively wanted Trump to win is astonishing really.
Progressive policies are actually popular.
Not according to voters patterns they aren’t. Comments on Reddit, threads on Lemmy and shits on Xitter doesn’t do anything if by the end of the day people who are incredibly active in those threads just don’t vote. It is either because it’s actually not a lot of people doing a lot of noise, or a lot of people who don’t know how American democracy operates, and it doesn’t matter if there is a difference. Promises of progressive politics don’t bring votes, simple as.
It is also shouldn’t be a surprise that political system not only doesn’t give a shit but also doesn’t have an idea about people who don’t participate in it. Almost by definition.
The entertainment corporation “Fox news” will tell them that the egg prices are lower than they are, and a median voter will believe it, and they will pay more money, while believing that they aren’t.
That’s good, commendable, and necessary. But it might not be enough. I don’t think we are at the point of murder yet, but we are definitely past the point of just voting.
