  • Unlicensed hunting leads to culling to much of a species in an area and ultimately it dying out. For the most part, even the dumb hunters understand if you kill to many this year hunting, there won’t be anything to hunt moving forward. So they wouldn’t want to chance not having the ability to hunt anything anymore I imagine. Same thing goes for the fishing and such. Though invasive species such as lionfish should be open season year round. But that is commonly done with diving gear, nets and spears usually because they have poisonous spines on them. (They do taste delicious though). They started an annual lionfish contest at a place I lived at about 7 years ago, so they had enough to feed everyone who came.

  • If I’m going outside for a minute to do something real fast what is the point of putting on all the layers and shitting around with it. Hell even when I go to the grocery store I spend 30 seconds walking from the warm house to the shelter of the car with heat, and then car to warm store. The only real threat is if your car breaks down… and no one is around somehow. If I were going outside for an hour, sure a jacket is needed, but I just don’t bother most time.

I’d rather not have to carry it around in the store either. So I just tell myself that my body has to work harder to stay warm when I don’t wear a jacket, so it’s a weight loss benefit haha… same excuse I use for why I refrigerate my water instead of drinking it from the tap. Think I did the math once and it works out to about 2 pounds a year your body would burn having to bring refrigerated/ice water back down to body temperature. (Really I just like cold water better )

  • I’m sure our opinions differ on many things, but this reminds me of when I get on rants talking about how things could be better as well. I hope you know you are loved by those you will never meet, and please keep trying to see that light and hope. It doesn’t look like the class war is going away any time soon, so punches will keep coming… just please keep standing back up. Maybe one of us will win a billion+ dollar lottery somehow and build a sanctuary city in the middle of nowhere where we can start it all fresh, build it ethically, set up our own healthcare system for the growing city, therapy and help for those coming in and our own policing force to ensure our safety. Ban the construction by large corporations, gas powered vehicles from entering the city and set up public transportation and ensure most of the city is set up walkable without need for cars so everyone can safely and quickly reach their destinations.

Eventually have just a safe haven where we recycle the initial funds only spending the investments on its expansion. As businesses make money and people are healthier and happier, other cities would likely try to copy some of those things to dispel people leaving there and try to make their own cities nicer.

Hope you have a wonderful life stranger : )

  • Broccoli, cauliflower, and green beans we (brother and I) were always fine with as kids. It was the asparagus and spinach I never cared for as a kid. Turned out it wasn’t the spinach’s fault, my mother would just buy bags of frozen spinach, put it in a microwave safe container and turn it on. So if tasted bad. As I learned to cook I started to like it as I actually used it in other ways. Asparagus though… I rarely give a chance, and usually if I do I’m frying it in bacon grease which defeats the purpose of eating a vegetable I feel.
