I agree that race has primarily been used as a divisive social construct, largely to distract labour from the only war that counts, the class war. However, there are important medical difference that can occur. Off the top of my head for example I belive that black and white people have different responses and outcomes to certain heart disease treatments. Not acknowledging those difference and accounting for them has lead to worse outcomes for black people.

It is in fact the farcical nature of using race as a division that lends the humor to a dark sarcastic take on this.

Read it with a sarcastic tilt, because race obviously is biological, so saying race isnt biological is farcical. It was just a joke that didn’t so much not land, as flew directly into the ground, mostly I feel because the internet doesn’t allow us to hear tone of voice during delivery.

I’ve tried being a good person, to help people when I can. I look around though and all I see are selfish assholes having a much better time, assholes who aren’t sad, and despondent all the time.

To twist the saying, if assholery is bliss, this folly to be kind.

This is my take away from this. I’ve gotten nothing trying to live by the rules and trying to be a kind human being. At this point why the fuck shouldn’t I just be a selfish asshole, it seems to work for the people we hold as exemplars of our society.

Which I think its important to point out isn’t an endorsement. It means that we in the west should be doing everything we can to enforce our saftey standards on products sold in our countries, and if that isn’t possible then we should be bringing the manufacturing back onshore.

As an addition any company that’s 'too big to fail is also to big to exist and needs to be broken up. Where thats not practicle then it needs to be nationalized and operated as a non-profit/crown corporation.

As the opposite to this it takes me a solid month to get to a point where getting up for work at 8 doesn’t kill me. It takes all of an afternoon nap to flip back to my preferred sleep pattern of 2am to 10am. I CAN get up early, me and my meatsuit really don’t seem to want to though.

And then promptly leave early because it waits and ‘corrects’ time at a different random stop in the middle of no where? That happens a lot here.
