  • I am so glad I left this bubble for a spell, because it’s fun to come back and see all the great new propaganda tactics being floated. Blue maga is hilariously internet! Love that for you.

Anywho, blaming the dems for trump winning, and ignoring all the people who voted for him is not coping, but pointing out that cities are liberal havens is?

I guess I’ll get back to focusing on my job instead of lemmy nonsense, because this place has always been completely unreasonably biased nonsense. My job is in a blue state whose taxes pay for the welfare of the rest of this shithole of a country, after all, so if I don’t do it, those trump supporters can’t buy his merch!

  • Unless you live where I do, where people steal mass amounts of junk food from convenience stores and then resell it at the nighttime markets to our struggling, marginalized, population of unhoused folks at an exploitative mark-up.

Because that is actively harming me, and the community I live in.

Though even with all that, confronting or reporting them isn’t helpful. But if asked, and I saw it, I would say so.

  • Really what they want is a way to narrow down candidates at the end of the day.

The unfortunate part is that these methods are often the things that actually prevent diverse workforces.

Recruiting from expensive ivy league schools rather than state schools guarantees that you end up with a similar ethnic and gender make-up as those schools.

It doesn’t guarantee that you’re getting more qualified or harder working candidates.

Usually something as simple as getting your recruiters to focus their efforts elsewhere is what will increase your company’s diversity, without having to change any other aspect of your hiring process.
