Theoretically, anytime a facist runs and loses an election and doesn’t subsequently stage a coup into power, voting prevents facism.

now that I think of it, it works both ways, you could use it to criticise people who vote for Harris as she obviously didn’t have great policies on things like Palestine.

Or you could use it to criticise people who don’t vote because then they let trump win which is far worse for minorities than Harris.

I mean I live in a lower class town in switzerland and a third of the town speaks portuguese. We get a lot of portuguese immigrants here, like A LOT. Which is great IMO, they make far better food than we do lol.

Usually the capitalists are the ones who kind of complain but don’t do anything to prevent the facism from happening, somehow expecting someone else to step in when they are the ones with power.

And facism naturally follows from massive wealth inequality in capitalism, if leftist movements are silenced, and the population is angry, well the facists will win.

In America the metro is seen as where there are lots of poor people and drug addicts and the rich people tend to prefer to buy fancy cars and drive them.

It’s kind of the same logic as to why america is one of the few countries where the poor people tend to live in the city center, but the rich people out in the suburbs.

Imagine how much labour and money we’d free up to do actually useful things like help homeless people and disabled people etc. If we cut all those marketing and advertising departments.

It’s a whole massive industry that takes massive amounts of financial resources and human labour and doesn’t contribute to anyone’s wellbeing except the stockholders of the company.

There is no example of marxism being seriously implemented, it’s always been used as aesthetics and excuses for authortarian government who want total economical control.

Those governments never implement true workplace democracy or worker control over the means of production.

That doesn’t mean marxism can’t work, just no one’s seriously tried. At a small scale it definitely can work, anarchist communes are often successful, despite the best efforts of governments to sabotage them however they can.
