  • I see this all the time in IT sysadmin and network admin. It legit pisses me off the amount of time it takes to even be remotely competent in these positions and companies are like yeah its entry level and pays 25/hr on call and weekends as needed…when I was actively looking for work I’d submit resumes saying this is a bullshit posting and if someone agrees to running the backbone of your company at that price they are going to fuck it up.









  • Some people did imagine it in the late 60s or early 70s… The first remote connection to a digital computer was at Dartmouth College in 1940, first commercial modem 1950, and Dartmouth time share system in the 1960s. Your statement is correct, though I definitely couldn’t have imagined it, but thankfully, some people did.
