His voice… Do something about his voice. I just fucking can’t take another 4 years of it.

Canadian here.

We got 2 of them for our kid. We didn’t have private insurance at the time. I think they were 50$ each. We thought THAT was expensive.

1000$…wow… And that stuff expires quickly too.

I’m French Canadian. A friend of mine lives in Paris. I go to Paris fairly often. When I’m there, I speak exclusively English to anyone I don’t know.

If I speak French, my god damn native tongue, they either make sure to tell me my accent is horrendous or they reply in German. In either case, they take this condescending tone… You know the one.

When I speak English, not only do I have the upper hand on the language, but they don’t know I can understand them perfectly. Win win for me.

As a kid, my dad used to tell me stuff like that. He believed it too. He worked 2 jobs 6 days a week all his life to die in relative poverty.

People make wealth issues generational. It’s not. It’s a narrative to divide and conquer.

It’s the rich vs the poor. It’s always been.

Everybody remembers Ripley, but Aliens was a solid gender equality movie… filmed way back in 1986. Remember Vasquez and Ferro? Totally believable, flawed and likeable badasses. I find today’s characters to be way too perfect to be believable. Wonder Woman is a good example. I find her annoying.

It is also labour intensive and not that easy. This year, I must have put dozens of hours of labour to get 8 tomatoes, 5 cucumbers and some chives. We got too much rain.
