Yeah, but different people have different mentalities. The dude might get into doom spirals, but knows they’ll pass if he gives them space, addresses the root cause, then reminds himself of all the good in his life and reachors himself to that. Some people don’t think of their problems as problems, but rather the natural obstacles of life.

Yeah, I actually think about this. People recognize that time is a dimension of our reality, but ask: why does it only move forward? But wat if it doesn’t? What if we go backwards and forwards often? But our memories are “unmade” when moving backwards and “remade” when moving forwards. We simply can only perceive the forward direction.

I’ve used Blender for years. Recently I was looking for a video editor. Somebody suggested use Blender. I thought, okay this will be funny, let’s try it. Don’t get me wrong Premier (best IMO) is better if you can get it for free. But damn… it was actually comparable!!

I think the copy they’re referring to is the initial one that puts it on the Internet without a paywall. Not those that come along after and take a copy.

The best one I’ve used for coding is the InelliJ AI. Idk how they trained that sucker but it’s pretty good at ripping through boiler plate code and structuring new files / methods based off how your project is already setup. It still has those little hallucinations especially when you ask it to figure out more niche tasks. But It’s really increased my productivity. Especially when getting a new repo setup. (I work with micro services)

People are nostalgic the world over, not just in America. So all of the undertones of political issues that you’re layering on here isn’t inherent to the human feeling of nostalgia. Now The Dukes of Hazzard is problematic for a great many reasons as this post highlights. So it’s totally fair to call that out. Being afraid of truth is a bandaid. Yes, sometimes saying a truth can cause short-term harm. Like Biden supporting war crimes. But if you start silencing truths instead of countering them with more truth, it just proves you don’t really believe you have the truth on your side. The group who is unwilling to face the truth, is sure to lose it all together.
