

He may have had previous charges for kidnapping and child endangerment, and took a plea to get the charges reduced. Then under his conditions of the plea, if he violates the restraining order he gets re-charged with those, and no option to plea out. I’ve seen stuff like that happen to lots of folks.
That’d be my best guess, but I could be wrong.
