WOW. When the app popped up your comment, I saw the first sentence and I tried to guess which of my comments it was a response to. Then I went like “no way”.

No matter how hard you try to come up with some surrealist bullshit, chances are someone had thought of the same and went like “this is a great idea”.

In an ideal world (therefore not ruled by humans) the word CEO would just mean that someone has to take care of the “big picture” duties and(/or?) owns the company. Yes, they would have more income than the average cannon fodder, but nothing crazy.

Being a CEO shouldn’t mean anything bad on its own. Too bad we’re just humans, therefore inherently greedy and selfish to various extents, and obviously the most scummy, selfish, greedy pricks just get selected into the role more often (or born into it). Just be aware that CEO ≠ evil automatically.

I’ve done that a few times. Mostly when the previous bag was used the night before, and I was super sleepy in the morning, so didn’t even bother ditching it, saving 1.3 seconds and thinking it would make my new tea stronger.

…yeah, I don’t do that anymore. But this is why I used to.

UPDATE: I just made my tea just the regular way this morning. While stirring, I realised I had left the previous night’s red berry tea bag in it. I didn’t want to waste an otherwise perfectly fine bag of Earl Grey, so I did it again. Not intentionally, though. Also, note to self: red berry Earl Grey is not great.

  • And then there are the (multiplayer) gamers. It’s great that I can play SO many more offline/single player games than I used to on Linux, but I can’t help if the ones I like to play are all unsupported (and probably will be for a looong time).

I would have switched to Linux about 20 years ago if it was possible, but unfortunately, developing exploit free, stable anti cheats for competitive multiplayers on multiple OS’s is a nightmare, and I get why most developers resort to picking the currently most widely used one. It’s just a shame because otherwise I prefer Linux over Windows in many aspects.

  • At one point the same activity started ruining /r/animalsbeinggeniuses. Either utterly dumb users, or, more likely, botted accounts started spamming the sub with random animal photos/videos. Then, when I dared to point out that a sitting cat/dog isn’t just genius for simply being cute or by being able to jump far, I often got downvoted because bUt It’S sO cUtE, hOw CaN yOu HaTe CuTe AnImAlS.

I stopped following Reddit content more than a year ago, but I’m not too surprised to see that the same is happening everywhere else.
