Oddly enough, on official paperwork that asks for height, I have to put what I used to be. That was 6’1. Hasn’t been true for a decade, but when I question it, I get a shoulder shrug in response. My dating profile clearly stated how I’m disabled. My ID says I’m 6’1. That’s bureaucracy for you.

It is pathetic. I lost my damn legs as a single father in my mid 30s. I was worried I would no longer be able to successfully date at all. I dated just fine and eventually met my wife. Turns out that treating women as fully independent human people worthy of the same respect I wanted goes a long way. If you’re an alt right chud who can’t get laid, it’s not your looks. I’ve never once in my waking life been without thought. I’ve always assumed it’s impossible to actually be clear of thought. I’ve meditated and can hold a thought if need be, but never can I outright clear them away.

I’m more commenting on where I live. It’s common knowledge not to play in the lakes or waterways here.

I’ve been firmly diagnosed with ADHD, once when I wasn’t even being tested for it, but ADHD markers were high enough that they asked if I was seeking treatment for it. That being said, I can read books just fine. I’ve read tons, and not just fiction. I have several nonfiction books about scientific topics I’m into. I’m currently reading a book about British royalty just because I like David Mitchell’s comedy.

I cannot imagine that I’m special. I’m certain that there are other ADHD power readers. It’s a way to hyper focus after all. I know sitting to read is a common problem area, but not always.
