This has taken a long time to get this far, must try it again…
Install was painless and completed in under 60sec, boot was fast, maybe not as fast as the good old BE5 and it seems to work.

The toy we had was from around 2010, I think that there may have been less risk back then, but your point still stands (PS I was using linux as a desktop)
We’ve had one like that, you could even plug it into a computer and access it as a usb flash drive and change the sounds
With the amount of CC and GPL content that has been ingested I don’t know that from a philosophical point

I was usig both in the early 2000’s, at that stage there wasn’t too much difference in the UIs. Gimp just seems to have stuck (more or less) with mid 2000’s design concepts in the UI
Yeah it would be nice to have other platforms intel integrated graphics and Macs would be nice
