That’s all well and good until you need more jpeg.

Go forth and forge your own destiny, free of stereotypes. Or just be Alex from YIIK idk.
Ahh it sounded like a fancy name for radioactive material to me. TIL!
Yeah they don’t specify every parameter of human interaction in writing before you have a meeting. I’m not saying that it’s easy, but it’s just one of the challenges of dealing with people. Best of luck with future interviews though. The whole way we hire people in the corporate world has this crazy song and dance to it, but IMO it’s better to learn it a bit. Try not to let it influence your style so much that you’re not telling the company about yourself at all, but learning what kinds of answers the company is looking for can make it much easier to know what the heck to talk about when asked these weird questions.
I see what you mean, but you have to read in between the lines a little bit. When they ask that question, they want to know why you’d rather work for them than anyone else hiring in that space.
Your answer makes it sound like you have zero interest in the company. I’m sure that you’d rather work for them than a myriad of other places if you actually applied. Think of why that is and focus on the positives. It’s not lying unless you literally had zero reason to work there as opposed to anywhere else.
IMO the built in documentation is kind of hard to digest, but it gets easier with practice and I’m glad that it’s there. Thinking about it, some good search engine for manpages that doesn’t require messing with VIM or emacs would be good. That probably exists somewhere.
Using Linux isn’t that difficult. You have to remember a few commands, their syntax, and how to look things up on the web or read a book. Speaking a language is probably harder than using Linux for basic stuff.
If it was, Nintendo would be trying to kill him.
You’re right. What he did is murder and it’s the job of the justice system to find him and convict him. I wouldn’t feel bad if he wasn’t caught, but it’s still probably the right thing to do.
I don’t seriously think that normalizing the murder of CEOs is going to fix things anyways, and it’s not a democratic way of dealing with the problem.
Do services such as Mullvad let you do this somehow?
Interesting. I didn’t know that about deleting comments. The web client on my instance has a delete button, but is there some kind of issue with that change not necessarily propagating to other instances?
It doesn’t bother me much personally since you never really can be sure that you deleted something from the internet. Even if reddit deletes a comment, you can possibly find it on an archive somewhere. Anything you toss onto the web should be something you’re comfortable with the world knowing.
They’re going to be in for a rude awakening when horses start eating people.
I don’t like the bassoon a ton, but I can’t believe they made an anti bassoon weapon first. How do we deal with the trumpet section?
Too late. Now you have to install FreeBSD.
Don’t try to install Arch after midnight.
I want a balloon full of uranium hexafluoride.
PopOS has been working well for me so far. After a couple of weeks of messing with it to fix some issues, it works seamlessly for the most part. Every so often I find something new though. On Windows I could easily plug in a second pair of headphones and switch between them as outputs. On PopOS it doesn’t work this way. I looked up a fix, but I saw that it will require changing more settings and probably installing some more packages, so I decided not to bother for now, lol.
I will say that I’m not a fan of the weird pop shop. It feels janky to use, and sometimes the gnome software center gives me notifications to install updates when the pop shop also can install those updates. It feels like there should just be one place for updates and new apps by default.
The Internet is truly a bizarre place sometimes.
