Fair enough. I definitely do that too, sometimes you can also link the post of when the question was last asked.
Typing a query in to Google is faster than making a post on Reddit and yet people still wanted you to do it for them. I never posted “have you tried Google?”, or anything like that, but lmgtfy links were always a fun option.
I hate posts where the answer is the top search result on Google. We’re not here as a proxy for a search engine.
Some subreddits had a “use Google first” rule.
If they get to choose, it’s probably going a pawn every time which kind of makes the option null.
Explosive would be interesting as it could force you to choose a less than optimal piece to prevent explosion.
My first thought is that the game would become one sided very quickly, but it’d be interesting to try.
Also what if the starting position for that piece is already occupied?
Everyone likes at least some classical music, most people are far too cool to admit it though.
It’s a joke. The implication is that the repeated playing of Baby Shark could be considered torture, other cruel, inhumane or degrading treatment and punishment.
I agree that power zealous mods are shit, but it’s also poor when well written comments and posts, made in good faith, are heavily downvoted for no other reason than not conforming to the consensus of the hive mind, which definitely happens here.
We should be encouraging discussion, not discouraging wrong think.
Every community is an echo chamber except for mine!
I dk where you Americans are getting the “sure” part from, it’s much more like “she-er” or if your more northern it’d be a bit more like “sher”.
I’m from England and wouldn’t pronounce it like this at all. The “woo” sounds like you’re a ghost or something and the “sure” part is just outright wrong.
It’s really hard express through text, but I’d say “wuss-ter-she-er” (the wuss part is pronounced the same way as if you’re refering to a cowardly person), is much closer. Regional accents could make it different tho.
Research requires a critical mind. Think of a person you know that has average intelligence, 50% of people are more stupid than that.
And I’m not saying that stupidity is solely an issue for the republican electorate, I’m just saying “do your own research” is an unrealistic expectation.
People need to be engaged with.
More like the oligarchy now have 99% of the power rather than 98%.
The issue is that we believe we have a free democracy when the only power we have is to put an X in a box every few years. The system isn’t broken, it’s working as it’s designed to.
The rest of the world is concerned about US politics because they are essentially the world police due to the size and power of their army.
If you stopped sending bombs, warships and fighter jets around the world, stopped interfering with foreign politics and just focused on NASA, Hollywood and music we’d all love you.
I can’t be fucked leaving the reviews but it will always be the last thing I buy there.
If Americans want to do this shit that’s up to them, I’m not paying the bar keeper 10% for pulling me a pint. If it’s my local, I’ll offer to buy them a drink now and again, I’m not doing that in a pub I may only go to once.
More game than I had 🤷🏼♂️
Ok. I was referring to the commonly known and understood “right of way” in regards to road traffic, I thought that was obvious but perhaps I could have made it clearer, but thanks for letting me know of the term in regards to access to land and public rights of way.
I’ve lived in the UK since birth and have always had soup spoons.
I thought, “maybe it’s a middle class thing”, but it’s not like they’re expensive and they last forever.
