    All you’re going to do is piss them off. Educating them and showing them the harms they cause are more likely to change the way they act. Lying and being deceitful will just turn them off of your argument and make them think you’re deceitful.

      Unfortunately the boomerang effect and tribalism says education won’t work either. The best evidence I’ve read about is when their tribal leaders change their mind or they change their tribe.

      Not sure cutting someone off from their tribe will get them to find another tribe to your point. But education has proven to be ineffective as well.

        I’ve gotten “I don’t care” as a response too many times when I present facts and studies.

        Education and understanding means fuckall when the person has no interest in understanding, especially when their entire worldview depends on them not understanding.
