I made this trade once upon a time. 0/5 stars, would not recommend.

A short search on pubmed says that the evidence of dietary calcium intake on kidney stone formation is still inconclusive and that dietary protein and oxalate intake plays a much bigger role, second to genetics

I hate kidney stones. Last time I was in so much pain I couldn’t feel my hands or feet and started to get tunnel vision. Even fentanyl didn’t fully get rid of the pain.

My brother went into renal failure because of one that wouldn’t pass and they had to do emergency surgery. He’s had like 5 now, all of em pretty freakishly large. I’ve passed 2, but they were small enough that I didn’t know I had them until they came out and it hurt like I never knew my penis could hurt. Like pissing a razor blade.

don’t people start drinking more water after the first one? Or maybe stop drinking snow globe liquid?

(jokes aside, I’m sorry that sounds fucking awful)

There are other causes for kidney stones that more water can’t solve (it will help though)

I’ve never been able to pass mine and have had a bunch of lithotripsy to turn the stones into tiny pieces for me to pass . The pain for me is all in my kidney. Like someone stabbing me in the kidney and twisting the knife around on the inside.
