Yeah, it wasn’t a good way to convey what I meant. I meant to say that I approve of what undefined@lemmy.hogru.ch is doing, but that I didn’t see (at the time) how what they were saying contributed to our discussion of our shared dislike of bad UX. I feel like most of the articles saying this are confusing the mining power usage (a constant load) with the transaction power usage. (Essentially nothing) Each transaction fee does incentivise more mining, but it’s not a flat power cost per transaction.
