It’s a concentration camp.
The “inmates” are not supposed to survive this.
I mean how could they? There was no crime so no time can be served. And even if there would be a made up time after which they would get free, these people have been tortured. They won’t be easily reintegrated into any society. They will be mentally unstable at best. Which country would take them?
This is a death sentence with torture on top. Without trial, without oversight and as we can see even the Supreme Court can’t intervene.
And Trump wants more of them and to add “home grown” threats (US citizens) to the people who land there.

My guess? LGBTQ will be next (under the guise of child safety, of course).
Then journalist and tv personalities who dare to say the truth (under the guise of protecting the truth).
Then politicians and the people organizing demonstrations (at this point he doesn’t need to lie about the reasons anymore, the media will be too afraid to say something)
Then anyone not on his side.
He is chilling in the VIP section with Hitler, Pol Pot, Kissinger and the others
We all know who he will start with: non-whites and LGBTQ+
Doesn’t matter if they are criminals or not, without a trial no one will know.
They already have one certified innocent person there and won’t bring him back.
If he gets away with that, the next wave will be dissenters, journalists, politicians. Anyone who speaks out against him.
We have seen this happening before. Be prepared - either to leave or to fight.

Having a picture like this and the over the top “negative/positive points” is done deliberately.
The future does suck. I think that’s mainly because all progress we made in productivity goes straight to the ultra rich.
Just think about what these billions of dollars could have done to our lives… We could have eradicated hunger and poverty, have a new golden age for humanity and science. Instead we have popstars in space and oligarchs controlling the politics.
Without a new ‘French Revolution’ that gets rid of the parasites, oligarchs, 1%, billionaires we will never get to a good future.
Well, it’s even expensive underwear: the devil wears Prada

And because he is a toddler incapable of distinguishing between himself and other people he thinks this is a general problem.
What we need is a police force of negotiators and social workers.
A police officer should only get a job after a mandatory time spent as a social worker and a expensive study of law and peaceful conflict resolving.
Before that: no weapons and no authority.
Also accountability: every bullet and every taser use has to be explained. Cams 24/7 on the job, disabling them should be a grounds for immediate expulsion.
Oh and of course, cops should no longer be above the law.
I think this would also scare away a lot of the people who become police officers for the wrong reasons.
Yes, I believe it could be possible to have good cops - it’s just not possible under the current system. Hell, the current system is a deterrent to good cops.
Of course, it’s basically a communist idea from even before the Russian revolution.
To answer your question: since corporations aren’t allowed to own more than the buildings they work with, they could not buy foreign real estate - except for facilities or offices they really use.
I don’t think I know all the answers, it was just a interesting idea I read a while ago.
As far as I know it was never implemented, so weather it would work out or not is just speculation.
I don’t live in the USA, so my trust in my government is at least a little bit higher.
I agree that the government under trump is… not suitable for such a socialist concept. One can only hope that a better one will rise from the ashes.
That being said, in general, control by the state is better for the people, even though it’s less effective. Taking ‘greed’ out of the equation for the housing market would do wonders.
My take?
-
corporations aren’t allowed to own land or houses other than the office space and production facilities.
-
people can only own the buildings they live in (with proof of living there at least X% of the year)
-
The state takes over all houses and land that become unused by these laws
-
The state rents out their property as ‘rent to own’, or as housing for the homeless
-
Reminds me of this joke:
Two worker see their boss arrive in a fancy car. The older worker sees the envy in his younger colleges eyes and says “You like the car? Well, if you really put in the time - you know, really work hard and do a lot of overtime - for a few years? Just work yourself to the bone. And that might just be enough… for him to buy another.”
What I wanted to say was: if it’s a lizard that shows human traits (speech, walking upright, tool use, human intelligence) why is it bad to add more human/mammal traits like breasts?
Well, if it’s a lizard woman then she already is a mixture of mammal (human) and lizard - why shouldn’t the secondary sexual characteristics be more on the human side?
Bigfoot was just the first Furry in his homemade fur suit.
