      They were mever really allies. Hitler pretty much just 2 goals, remove all Jews from Germany and kill all Slavs. The Molotov-Ribbentrop pact was just because neither the Nazis or the USSR were in any shape to fight each other, so partitioning Poland between them would give both some breathing room in the event the other invaded.

      Or how WW2 was started with Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia conducting a joint invasion of Poland?

      I am amazed at how little that’s brought up in discourse.

      I think the non-nazi list was just the British Commonwealth and the uninvolved bits of Africa and Asia

      Not that the Commonwealth was totally Nazi Free, but we definitely weren’t as pro Nazi as America was (not that America stayed pro Nazi for long)
